Kaia is a filmmaker and photographer dedicated to meaningful and curious visual storytelling, with a specialty in climate communications. Originally from California, she attended University of Bristol for her undergrad and recently received a master’s degree in Strategic Communications from the London School of Economics, where her research focused on climate ignorance and imagination. Since moving to Havelock Walk, she has enjoyed diving into photography more deeply and integrating digital designs and screen printing into her work.

Alongside playing around with multiple exposures and expired film, Kaia photographs events, landscapes, urban topography, and the occasional wedding. She has also directed the award-winning short documentaries Fugetsu-Do and Stamp Our Story and was the creator / director of the web-series Climate Countdown. She has practiced extensively as a freelance director, producer and editor, creating video content for such organizations as the United Nations, The Juilliard School, 350.org, and the World Bank. Prior to that, she dabbled in animation while living in Bristol, where she produced animated commercials, shorts, TV shows and feature films for such companies as Aardman, Disney Jr, and the BBC.
